A Grimsby Newborn lockdown photoshoot with the most beautiful cocker spaniel, Bramble. Welcome to the world George and thank you for having me capture some moments of your adoring family. This was my first indoor session since the whole country went into lockdown. What a session it was.
You might have seen Bramble and her humans in their maternity session I shared a few posts back. I knew she’d make the best big sister and it was an absolute honour to photograph these moments between them. Bramble was so gentle, and really interested in her new family member. I photographed the family through a feed and an outfit change, just naturally, nothing posed. This is how I cover all of my shoots. I might direct on where to sit based on lighting, and I might ask for you to bring baby closer to you but thats about it.
So if you’re thinking a newborn session might be a bit too stressful in the first few days at home don’t worry. I like to think you’ll hardly notice I’m there. I photograph through feeds, nappy changes, baths. If baby is sleeping the whole time I’m there thats okay too. I do like to capture newborns awake but I’ll never wake them up if they’re settled. If you’re looking for more of a posed style of newborn photography then do get in touch and I can point you in the right direction of some great local photographers.
